1. N의
-의 means possessive. (= N's or 'of')
my | your | his | her | its | thier | our | |
나의 -> 내 |
너의 -> 네 |
그의 | 그녀의 | 그것의 | 그들의 그것들의 |
우리의 | |
저의 -> 제 |
당신의 |
1-1 You read it as [에], not [의]. But you don’t see them very often because we can skip them very often in conversations.
1-2 When you talk about something that doesn't entirely belong to you, or is close to you, such as your family, country, school or comapany, you us '우리(our) rather than '저의(my)'.
When referring to a group with which one is associated (home, family, company, country, or school), it is common to use the pronouns 우리/저희 in place of 나. Also, 우리 is used in place of 제 and 내 when referring to one's family members. However, in the case of 동생, 내 동생 and 제 동생 are used more often than 우리 동생 (our younger brother/sister)
If it is used with 저, 나 or 너, we usually combine them together. For example, 저의 => 제 my 나의 => 내 my 너의 => 네 your (For distinguish between 내and 네, Korean people usually say 네 as 니)
